For most of us, the feelings associated with coffee are very cozy. Its great to wake up and cuddle up under a blanket with the warmth of the first cup of coffee in the morning. Coffee fanatics, just send this blog to some loved ones to appreciate!
-Caffeine is a natural pesticide and elevation matters. Coffee beans that grow at a low altitude level have a high caffeine content, as there are more bugs to attack the plant; however, coffee beans that grow at higher altitudes have a lower caffeine content. The air is colder at higher altitudes and therefore the plant doesn't need as much caffeine to defend the bugs!
-Coffee beans are technically a fruit that grows on a bush!
-Hawaii is the only American State that grows Coffee
-Coffee is the second most traded commodity after crude oil
-Coffee was apparently discovered by a goat herder in Ethiopia. His goats were caffeinated up and extremely energized the legend says, so he started using the coffee plant to stay wide awake during prayers -- hm, I wonder why coffee culture is so big in churches? ;)
